Bipolar Depression Study
This study will be Conducted in Detroit and will last up to 8 Weeks
The purpose of this study is to learn more about the use of an investigational product, for the treatment of adult patients with depression associated with Bipolar disorder. We want to determine if the investigational product can help to improve the symptoms of depressive episodes in adults with Bipolar.
Bipolar disorder is a severe mental illness with substantial morbidity and mortality. Bipolar disorder is chronic and often disabling with a lifetime prevalence of approximately 4.4% and occurs approximately equally in men and women. Depressive episodes are a core feature of bipolar disorder, a phase in which many patients spend the majority of time. Almost three times as many days are spent in a depressed state than in any other mood state with a significant degree of psychosocial disability and impairment.
