Hypothyroidism Study
This is a 54-Week Study in Omaha, Nebraska
Hypothyroidism occurs when the thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormone, which can affect energy levels, metabolism, mood, and overall health. Many people with hypothyroidism take a daily oral medication called levothyroxine to help maintain normal thyroid hormone levels.
Quality Clinical Research of Omaha is currently enrolling adults with hypothyroidism for a clinical study evaluating an investigational treatment option for thyroid hormone replacement.
This study is evaluating an investigational once-weekly injectable form of levothyroxine compared to standard daily oral thyroid medication. Researchers will assess how well the investigational treatment maintains healthy thyroid hormone levels, as well as its safety and tolerability.
To participate, individuals must be taking a stable dose of thyroid replacement medication and have well-controlled thyroid hormone levels at screening.
Qualified participants may receive study-related medical evaluations, laboratory testing, and study medication at no cost. Participation may help advance research aimed at providing additional treatment options for people living with hypothyroidism.
How To Qualify For This Study:
- Male or female adult 19 years of age or older
- Diagnosed with hypothyroidism and have been on a stable dose of oral levothyroxine monotherapy for at least 3 months
- Does not currently use any thyroid hormone treatment other than levothyroxine or any combination thyroid treatment
- Must be able to pass a urine drug screening
- Other criteria may apply
